By downloading, installing, or using the TaxSuisse application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of TaxSuisse. By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the App.
2. Description of Service
TaxSuisse is a Swiss tax calculation application that provides estimated tax calculations for all 26 Swiss cantons, including federal, cantonal, and municipal taxes. The App offers:
- Basic features available for free
- Premium features accessible through paid subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly)
- Tax calculations based on user-provided income and deduction information
- Local data storage on your device
3. User Eligibility
The App is available to users worldwide with no age restrictions. However, users must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements in their jurisdiction. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children's use of the App.
4. Subscription and Payments
Subscription Options:
- TaxSuisse offers weekly, monthly, and yearly subscription plans
- No free trial period is provided
- All payments are processed through Apple's App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
Subscription Management:
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account Settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Upon cancellation, you will retain read-only access to your data but will not be able to create new calculations or use premium features
Refunds:
- All refund requests must be directed to Apple through the App Store
- Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy
- We do not have the ability to process refunds directly
5. Tax Calculation Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: TaxSuisse provides tax estimates for informational and educational purposes only. These calculations:
- Are estimates based on the information you provide
- Should NOT be considered professional tax advice
- Should NOT be used as the sole basis for filing tax returns
- May not reflect the most current tax laws or rates
- Do not account for all possible deductions, credits, or special circumstances
User Responsibilities:
- Verify all calculations independently
- Consult with qualified tax professionals for official tax advice
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Swiss federal, cantonal, and municipal tax laws
- File accurate tax returns with the appropriate tax authorities
- Understand that you are solely responsible for your tax obligations
6. Updates and Accuracy
While we strive to keep TaxSuisse up to date with current Swiss tax rates and regulations:
- We do not guarantee a specific schedule for updates
- Tax laws and rates may change, and the App may not immediately reflect these changes
- Users are responsible for verifying that they are using current tax information
- We recommend checking for App updates regularly
7. Permitted Use
Personal Use Only: TaxSuisse is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may NOT:
- Use the App for commercial purposes or business operations
- Use the App to provide professional tax services to clients
- Charge others for calculations performed using the App
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use automated tools or bots to access the App
- Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to:
- Software code, algorithms, and calculations
- User interface design and graphics
- Text, images, and other content
- Trademarks, logos, and branding
remain the exclusive property of TaxSuisse and its licensors. These terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
10. Third-Party Services
TaxSuisse does not integrate with or use any third-party services for analytics, advertising, or data collection. However, the App uses Apple's payment processing system for in-app purchases. Your use of Apple's services is governed by Apple's terms and conditions.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAXSUISSE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of tax calculations
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
- Warranties that the App will meet your requirements
12. Limitation of Liability
NO LIABILITY FOR TAX CALCULATIONS: We accept no liability whatsoever for:
- Incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete tax calculations
- Tax penalties, interest charges, or fines resulting from use of the App
- Financial losses due to reliance on App calculations
- Errors in tax filing based on App results
- Outdated tax rates or regulations in the App
GENERAL LIMITATION: To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, we shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Business interruption or system failures
- Costs of substitute services or products
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the total amount you paid for subscription fees in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim, or CHF 100, whichever is less.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TaxSuisse, its operators, affiliates, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Tax-related issues, penalties, or disputes resulting from your use of the App
- Any inaccurate or incomplete information you provide to the App
14. Data Retention After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription:
- Your data will remain stored locally on your device
- You will have read-only access to previously created calculations
- You will not be able to create new calculations or access premium features
- You can delete all data by uninstalling the App from your device
15. Modifications to the App and Terms
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any features at any time
- Update these Terms and Conditions at our discretion
- Change subscription pricing with reasonable notice
Significant changes to these terms will be communicated through the App or App Store update notes. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
16. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you:
- Breach these Terms and Conditions
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Use the App in ways that harm other users or the service
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it and canceling any active subscriptions.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Switzerland.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, invalid, or illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, it shall be severed from these terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
19. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.

21. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TaxSuisse regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.

BY USING TAXSUISSE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:

- You agree to be bound by these terms
- Tax calculations are estimates only and not professional advice
- You are solely responsible for your tax obligations and filings
- We accept no liability for tax-related issues arising from App use
